  • The Work

    As a Graphic Designer I at Access Marketing Company, you will work directly with our Creative Leads to execute a variety of design projects on a daily basis. You'll hone your creative chops with the best of our team.

    These projects often include the design & development of email campaigns, landing pages, article & whitepaper layouts, websites, trade show booths and whatever other medium we can throw at you.

    Our design team is collaborative, with a team-first mentality. Your teammates are always available to help when you're in a bind and we ask that you provide the same level of support.

    We are a "pull" organization - meaning micro-managing is not in our vocabulary. Instead, we ask all our employees to take ownership of their projects and pull in resources when they need help - as well as pull in the account team when designs are ready to go.

We’re not as concerned about your specific experience with marketing automation, email campaigns, whitepapers, etc. as we are about your willingness to learn and your desire to always take another step forward with your skill set.

  • Requirements
    • Solid understanding of basic design / color theory / user interaction principles
    • Constant willingness to expand your knowledge base and experience with new disciplines.
    • Your communication clarity may be eclipsed only by your ability to self-motivate. (Don’t let the dishes sit in the sink until your roommate tells you to do them.  We need you to put the remote down and get after it 😉)
    • Keen eye / ability to select & create impactful imagery
    • Expertise in Adobe CC, specifically PS, AI, ID, DW
    • Solution oriented with desire to take ownership and delight clients with quality work
    • Basic understanding of HTML / CSS
    • Knowledge / understanding of current web design techniques and best practices
    • Comfort with MS Office – Word, PPT, Excel
    • Online Portfolio
  • Bonus points for experience with,
    • Marketing Automation platforms (Act-On, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)
    • Email design + development
    • Adobe Premiere / After Effects
    • Print production + preflight
    • Jquery, PHP or front-end development
    • WordPress
  • Education & Experience
    • BFA, AA, in Graphic Design or related field preferred
    • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a team-based design environment or equivalent
    • Agency experience is a big plus

The "Deets":

As a Jr. Designer at Access Marketing, you'll work with project managers, copywriters and senior designers to tell and enhance marketing stories through visual design across various mediums including print, PDF documents, presentations, web pages, landing pages, emails, ads, social posts and more. You'll create assets from supplied copy while following client brand guides or reference material, taking into account the design medium and campaign use cases. Our team is nimble and quick, so be ready to learn (questions always encouraged) and hone your design skills alongside some amazing teammates.

  • Requirements
    • Ability to produce high quality design deliverables at a fast pace based on creative briefs
    • Ability to contribute and/or create blank-page designs based on input gathered from brainstorming sessions & meetings
    • Highly developed knowledge and skill with tools in the Adobe CC including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign plus layout, file structure, art boards and layer management
    • Demonstrable understanding of how typography, color, shape and layout contribute to elegant design and communication
    • "How can I be helpful?" team-first attitude. Will double check results because they are somewhat risk-averse
    • Can take direction and feedback from creative directors & others with impartiality, but can still defend their design decisions
    • Desire to take on new methods and platforms, learning the design & layout side of applications such as Act-On, Hubspot, Pardot, and more
    • Detail-oriented, ensuring typography and design treatments are aligned across a large variety of deliverables and templates
    • Online portfolio showcasing a variety of design work
  • Nice to Haves
    • Video skills can help put you at higher end of pay scale. (planning, direction, capture, production/editing, animation, etc.)
    • Technical chops are a bonus e.g. light HTML, CSS, WYSIWYG editors in web, email, etc.
    • Bootstrap / knowledge of Marketing platforms such as Act-On, Hubspot, Pardot etc.
  • Education & Experience
    • 1-2 years experience or internship in agency environment preferred
    • 2- or 4-year degree in Graphic Design or similar field preferred although your work and commitment to learning is most important
    • New grads are encouraged to apply!
